AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player is a striker for San Diego Wave FC (NWSL), which is the highest division of women's soccer in the United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team from 2018 until 2020 along with Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. After graduating earlier from the University of California, Berkeley in the USA, where she played for the California Golden Bears, Morgan was chosen as the number one overall pick in the 2011 WPS Draft by the Western New York Flash. Morgan made her debut as a professional with the club and assisted the team win the league championship. Morgan was 22, at the time, was the youngest player on the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team finished as runners-up. In the 123rd minute of the semi-final clash against Canada during the 2012 London Olympics she scored the game-winning goal. She finished 2012 with 21 and 28 goals. assists as she joined Mia Hamm as the only American woman to score 20 goals and give 20 assists within the same year, making her the sixth and the sixth U.S. player to score 20 goals in one season.
